Issues with the Active Directory MP (6.0.7065.0) for Windows Server 2008: The Event log rules don’t generate alerts as expected.

Got this from the blogs of Kevin Holman and Jimmy Harper. The Event log rules in the Microsoft.Windows.Server.AD.2008.Monitoring.mp don’t work as designed. As a result these rules don’t generate Alerts.

For now an ‘add-on’ MP has been created by Jimmy Harper which disables these rules and replace them with the fixed versions. This MP needs to be imported in your SCOM environment, alongside the original MP.
